The Nikon COOLPIX S4100 is slimmer than its predecessor, the Nikon cOOLPIX S4000 and offers improved zoom functions, in a rich variety of stylish color options.

However the new Nikon Coolpix S4100 uses a different battery from Coolpix S4000 which uses EN-EL10. The Coolpix S4100 use a new battery instead, the battery code is EN-EL19. According to Nikon company, after one full charge, the EN-EL19 can power Coolpix S4100 approx. 190 shots(based on CIPA standard) and approx. 1 h 30 min (HD 720p) of movies.
